Mabaje Says Committee Working to Expose Ghost Workers in Oyo

The Chairman House Committee on Employment, Labour, Productivity and Pension in Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Razaq Adekunle Mabaje has reiterated the commitment of his committee to ensure sanity in the civil service system and expose ghost workers in order to foster  high level of productivity in the state civil service.

Hon. Mabaje in a chat with Western Post News in Ibadan  said the issue of ghost workers in the state need to be looked into with a view of ensuring that the state civil service system functions well.

According to him, the development if not properly checked would continue to be a burden to government and as a result hinder progress and development of the system.

“My committee is working hard to ensure it exposes  ghost workers in the state civil service system and  to also know number of authentic workers in each  ministry, and those who are real pensioners.”

“The era of ghost workers being paid in the state must come to and end very soon. We want to ensure that pensioners get their  due as at when due. We are not stopping at that, the committee will also unravel  and expose pension officials who delay pensioners money and punish them accordingly.

The lawmaker who represents Ido state constituency in the Assembly said the development is poised at working in line with the transformation agenda of governor Seyi Makinde to achieve a better Oyo State.

Hon Mabaje while commending the strides of the Assembly especially the successful passage of the Anti-Open Rearing and Grazing law 2019 urged   the people of the state to cooperate and support the Engr Makinde led administration to make life meaningful to the people.

He also advised the youths to be creative and engage themselves with meaningful ventures that would transform their lives positively.
