Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, Inaugurated the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission members.
The brief ceremony held at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s office, Agodi, Secretariat, Ibadan had in attendance the deputy governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan; the secretary to the state government, Mrs. Olubanwo Adeosun; The Chief of staff, Bisis Ilaka; the head of service, Mrs. Ololade Agboola, honorable Commissioners, amongst others.
In his speech, Governor Makinde stated that the inauguration of the members of the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission was part of the state government’s efforts at ensuring all citizens of Oyo state enjoy dividends of democracy.
He asked the commission members to guide the Oyo state House of Assembly to have a robust deliberation on issues at hand before reaching a conclusion, ensure they are not a rubber stamp house and see to their independent.
The personalities Inaugurated to oversee the affairs of the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission are: Hon. Musa AbdulWasi, the immediate past deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly who is to chair the commission; Hon. Ojoawo Moses and Mrs. Yinyinade Ladoye as full-time Members while Mr. Adekunle Iyanda and Hon. Ogundoke Hassan are part-time members.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the inauguration, the Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Musa AbdulWasi assured governor Makinde and the good people of Oyo state that the commission will effectively execute the tasks committed to them.
