Man City lift EPL title

Manchester City won a second Premier League title in three years as goals from Samir Nasri and captain Vincent Kompany secured victory over West Ham.

The Sky Blues, needing a draw to guarantee being English champions for the fourth time, dominated before Nasri fired in off the post from 20 yards, reports the BBC.

David Silva hit the bar before half-time, but Kompany prodded in from six yards to seal a fifth win in a row.

City finished two points ahead of Liverpool, who beat Newcastle 2-1.

The Reds’ victory was academic as City eased past Sam Allardyce’s side, reaching 102 league goals for the season, one shy of Chelsea’s record in 2009-10.
