It was a dark day at a first generation bank on Oba Adesida road in Akure last week, when a customer of the bank one, Mr. Okunsanya Ayobolu slumped and died.
Police source revealed the deceased came to the bank to settle his electricity bill when the incident happened. It was revealed that the victim was half dead when he was rushed to the hospital by the bank management.
The manager of the bank, Mr. Olanrewaju Saliu was said to have reported the case at the police station that the deceased came to the banking hall to pay for an electricity bill, slumped and was rushed to the state Specialist Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Wole Ogodo, confirmed the incident, adding that police detectives had visited the scene.
He said the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the State Specialist Hospital morgue, Akure for autopsy.
