A middle-aged man identified as Friday Eniba allegedly stabbed his friend, Seun Ajalabi, to death with a broken bottle in Iwaro-Oka, Akoko South-west Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The development was as a result of an argument between the two friends. Police report revealed that the suspect, who lives at Owalusi area of the hilly town, took to his heels immediately he discovered that the deceased was going down after he stabbed him.
What could have led the friend to stab his friend so hard leading to his death is what homicide detectives are trying to unravel.
The police report had it that on May 20, 2015 at about 8:30 pm, one Toluwa Ajalami of Oka-Odo Quarters, Iwaro- Oka came to the station to report that one Friday Eniba engaged in a fight with her son , Seun Ajalabi ,of the same address and stabbed him to death on the chest with a broken bottle.
Confirming the incident, Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Wole Ogodo said on getting the information concerning the incident, Inspector Moses Ogoloh led two other officers to the scene of the incident and rushed the victim to the State Specialist Hospital in the town when he discovered that life was still in him but the victim eventually gave up the ghost on hospital bed while receiving treatment.
The PPRO pointed that the suspect is still at large, but efforts are on top gear to apprehend him.
