The Secretary of the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Mr. Lanre Ogunyemi has described as pleasing, the massive response and show of interest in the purchase of nomination forms by aspirants willing to contest in the local government primary elections.
The party aimed at electing councillorship and chairmanship candidates to flag the ship of the party in the 2021 LG polls in the state.
Ogunyemi sees the large quest for nomination forms as an indication of continued public interest in the party.
“The fact that as at the time of this report, close to 1000 people have picked their nomination forms to jostle for the 57 Chairmanship and 377 Councillorship seats is a testament to the continued grassroots appeal, popularity and acceptance the party enjoys in Lagos State,” Ogunyemi said.
He said sales of forms is still ongoing.
