Gbolahon Yishawu, respectively have praised both Lagos State and Nigerian workers for their immense contributions to the nation’s development and economy, saying that the positive impact of labour to economic development can be felt in the country.

Sokunle in his May Day Message on Wednesday in Oshodi, Lagos, stressed that human capacity is the asset of any nation and so it must be taken care of by employers of labour.

The lawmaker lauded the Labour Unions most especially the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), (Trade Union Congress) and United Labour Congress (ULC) who fight for the interests of workers, saying that no nation can develop without a responsible labour movement.

Sokunle added ” I congratulate all workers in Lagos for their immense contribution to development of the nation because you are the asset to our dear country and we value you. I want to urge you all not to relent in contributing your quota to make Nigeria great”

The lawmaker assured workers that the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government holds Workers’ interest in high esteem, saying that prompted the immediate signing of new minimum wage bill into law by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“I urge employers of Labour to constantly pay workers salary because it brings about high productivity” he concluded

However, Hon. Gbolahon Yishawu, had saluted Nigerian workers for their immense contribution to the nation’s development.

He disclosed this on Wednesday in his May Day message to congratulate the Nigerian workers and their efforts in ensuring progress and development in their various working places.

According to Yishawu, “The asset of a nation is her human capacity. Today, we celebrate the progress, prosperity and resilience of all Lagos and Nigerian workers.”

The lawmaker also congratulates the Labour Unions most especially the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), (Trade Union Congress) and United Labour Congress (ULC) who fight for the interests of workers.

“I congratulate all workers in Lagos for their immense contribution to development of the nation because you are the asset to our dear country and we value you. I want to urge you all not to relent in contributing your quota to make Nigeria great”, he added.

However, the lawmaker therefore assured citizens that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari holds Workers’ interest in high esteem, saying this prompted the immediate signing of new minimum wage Bill into law.

The lawmaker appealed to Organisations that are owing their workers to pay, saying prompt payment of salary would bring about good productivity. He wishes all workers happy May Day Celebration.
