Middle Aged Man Allegedly Killed By Police In Osun

A middle-aged man, Taiwo Kajogbola has allegedly been killed after he was knocked down by a police patrol vehicle around Kajola/Osunjela area of Osun State.

According to report, Kajogbola had traveled to Ilesa to give his parents some foodstuff to break their fast.

The deceased, who was riding lady bike, was said to have refused to stop at Kajola for a stop-and-search exercise when the police stopped him on his way back to Osogbo.

His action, was said to have led to a hot chase by the police who purportedly hit his bike from behind when they caught up with him at Osunjela leaving him in a pool of blood.

According to some residents of the area, the police having realized the gravity of the incident made a u-turn and left the scene.

Taiwo was said to have given up the ghost when some good samaritans were rushing him to the hospital.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola said she just hearing about the incident assuring that investigation is ongoing to unravel the cause of the incident.
