The Personal Assistant to the Minister for Communications, Mr. Adebayo Shittu; Hon. Rasaq Olubodun, has resigned his appointment over alleged unpaid salaries, accumulated to over N10 million.

The Saki born politician was said to have written the minister through his lawyer demanding twenty-three months salary arrears and other entitlements, which he said was over N10 million.

According to him, his salary was paid alongside with that of the minister which was stipulated in minister‘s appointment letter when he was appointed in November, 2015.

Olubodun claimed that working with the minister which should be a thing of pride was otherwise, as he and his family have been living on borrowing spree and begging for money from friends and family to survive. Adding that the intervention of some elders from Saki did not yield any positive result as a meeting convened at the minister’s house in Aerodrome Estate, Ibadan to reconcile both ended in shouting match between him and the minister.

However, effort to reach the minister’s spokesperson, Mr. Victor Oluwadamilare to comment on the allegation leveled against the minister proved abortive as his telephone lines were switched off as at the time of filing this report.
