The National Council of women Society of Nigeria and other concerned women groups trooped out on Tuesday in their large numbers to protest against the nonchalant attitude of the Police towards the sudden disappearance of the little Gold Kolawole.
The boy was said to have been kidnapped in a church in Akure during Sunday Service about a month ago.
Akure, the Ondo State Capital was held hostage during the protest which affected vehicular movement over what the women termed Wickedness of the highest Order” from the Police for not making any arrest so far.
The leader of the group, Pastor Mrs. Jumoke Aborode said that, the women in Ondo states are sad over the ugly disappearance of the baby.
She said further that the Police and other security agencies in the state have not been so fair with the case, and that none of the Ushers of the church, who were there when the child was brought, have been not arrested hitherto.
The group is now calling on well-meaning Nigerians to intervene so as to fish out the perpetrators and save the life of the innocent boy.
