The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in Oyo State has dissociated itself from a suit filed by its sister association, Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria in a suit seeking the court to restrain the Oyo State Government from implementing the anti-open grazing law in the state.

The Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria had dragged the Oyo State Government,  Oyo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, the Speaker and Oyo State House of Assembly as a defendant before the High Court of Justice in Oyo State.

In a suit filed by the Gan Allah Development Association at the High Court of Justice in Ibadan, the association is praying the court to restrain the defendant from implementing the anti-open grazing law which it says violates it fundamental human right to freedom of movement.

The Anti – Open grazing law was passed into law by the Assembly in October 2019, in a bid to find a lasting solution to incessant violence that usually emanates from herders/farmers clashes leading to avoidable killings and destruction of properties.

In a suit M/744/2019 filed by the Gan Allah Fulani Association at the high court of Justice, Ibadan, Oyo State, the association is praying the court to restrain the defendants from implementing the anti-open grazing law which it says violates its fundamental human right to freedom of movement.
