His Royal Highness Oba Patrick Oyeniran Fasinu, Olowo of Owo has been burnt to ashes by unknown hoodlums on his way home after attending a meeting of Yewa council of Obas in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government, Ogun State.
According his brother Kehinde Fasinu residing at Igboku Compound Owo Town VIA Oke Odan Yewa South L:G they are expecting his brother to return on Wednesday night from his outing, which he could not.
On Thursday morning around 7.30am, he left home with his Brother Olaolu Fasinu in search for their Elder Brother, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Patrick Oyeniran Fasinu who was expected home last night on 26\07\2017 but was not seen and during the search the said late Oba Patrick Oyeniran Fasinu was found dead suspected to have been murder and his body was set ablaze inside his vehicle along the road between Ijako and Isagbo in Oke-Odan and Owo area.
The Oke Odan police patrol team visited scene and team of policemen was led by the Area Commander Ilaro, police division taken the photograph of the scene and remains of the burnt corpse, and taken to Sango-Ota General Hospital Moutuary For Autopsy.
The Ogun State Police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said the monarch was returning to his community from Ilaro when he was attacked.
”It was gathered that the monarch was coming from Ilaro but dropped his driver somewhere in Owode and drove alone towards Owo only for him to be attacked on the road where he was killed and set ablaze with his car”, Mr. Oyeyemi said.
The police spokesman said the command had commenced investigation of the killing.
