The draws for the qualifiers of the 2015 Orange Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco has thrown up some mouth-watering clashes as North African rivals Tunisia and Egypt will do battle against each other in Group G.
In Group A, defending champions Nigeria will clash with 1996 winners South Africa, Sudan and either of Congo/Namibia/Libya/Rwanda.
Group D of the qualifiers also looks like a potential humdinger as three-time champions Cameroon pitched alongside the Cote d’Ivoire and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The seven group winners, the runners-up in each group, and the third best placed country will join hosts Morocco as automatic qualifiers.
The draw procedure saw 28 teams divided into 4 groups with each pot having seven teams based on CAF’s ranking of the teams.

Group A: Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Namibia/Congo/Libya/Rwanda
Group B: Mali, Algeria, Ethiopia, Sao Tome/Benin/Malawi/Chad
Group C: Burkina Faso, Angola, Liberia/Lesotho/Kenya/Comoros
Group D: Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, DRC, Gambia/Seychelles/Swaziland/Sierra Leone
Group E: Ghana, Togo, Guinea, Madagascar, Uganda, Mauritania, Equatorial Guinea.
Group F: Zambia, Cape Verde, Niger, Tanzania/Zimbabwe/Mozambique/South Sudan
Group G: Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal, Burundi/Botswana/CAR/Guinea Bissau
The 2015 Orange CAF Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco from January 17 to February 8, 2015.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are the reigning African champions after beating Burkina Faso 1-0 in the final last year in South Africa, reports supersport.com.
