My Victory is Triumph of Truth, Will of the People, Says Omoworare

The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Business Rules, Babajide Omoworare, has described his victory at the tribunal as victory for the truth and the will of the people.

In a statement made available to the press by his Media Assistant Tunde Dairo, the second term senator said “truth is ever constant and will always triumph over lies, no matter the degree of manipulation, it will remain constant. The people have won, democracy has won and the judiciary has lived up to its essence”.

“I remain eternally grateful to God, the people and the judiciary for living up to its responsibility once again, I did not expect less from the team of incorruptible and conscientious men who sat on the case,
they have proven themselves as bastion of hope, defender of justice and democracy,” Omoworare said.

He thanked the people for the confidence reposed in him through the ballot and support while the tribunal lasted. He praised his legal team for their resilience, confidence and erudition, leaving no stone unturned to uphold the truth.

“I remain indebted and grateful to my party APC for the progressive platform and agenda with which we will rework Nigeria. I am grateful to my Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, for his visionary and people driven leadership and relentless support at all time,“ the senator said.

He further said: “My appreciation also goes to family, friends and colleagues who gave all forms of support while this legal tussle lasted. I must equally appreciate the witnesses for abiding by
the truth and the press to for your quality and fair reportage of the entire process”.

Omoworare appealed to his opponent and the opposition party to give peace a chance and join the progressive train to move the senatorial district forward.

Decrying the enormity of violence and acrimony targeted at his supporters during the electioneering process, he urged his supporter to celebrate with caution.

“The era of political office by every mean possible should no longer exist; human life and peaceful co-existence must be sacrosanct. It is time to play politics as it is in advanced democracies if we intend to develop rapidly,” he said.

Omoworare further assured the people of his commitment to their service with a promise never to let them down in the given assignment.

“I assure my constituents of quality representation that they will be proud of, without relenting developmental drive and projects, the future is open,” he said.
