A luxury bus fully loaded with passengers from Abuja to Ondo State was on Monday burnt to ashes at Agbaluku Arigidi Akoko, area of the state.
The incident led to a total shut down of commercial activities in the town as people were trying to rescue passengers from the bus.
It also resulted in a gridlock on both sides of the road as an unprecedented crowd witnessed the scene.
No lives were lost as passengers were successfully evacuated bu their he luggage were burnt to ashes.
The fire service station at Ikare, a kilometer away could not come to rescue the situation.
The Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ikare Akoko, Mr Oluropo Alabi said his men were making efforts to clear the road from gridlock for travelers not to be stranded.
