The All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly condemned what transpired at both chambers of the National Assembly on Thursday, June 25, 2015.
At the Red Chamber, Senate President Bukola Saraki had announced Senator Ali Ndume from Borno State and Senator Bala Ibn Na Allah as Senate Leader and Deputy Senate Leader respectively as opposed to Senators Ahmed Lawan and George Akume.
In the House, there was commotion as Speaker Yakubu Dogara attempted to read the names of officers for the remaining positions.
According to a statement issued by its National Secretary, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, the party said it was standing by the list it sent to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives on the sharing of the remaining leadership positions in the assembly.
The National Caucus, Board of Trustees and National Executive Committee of the party will meet within the next few days to discuss the evolving developments in the National Assembly.
