Adeola Oladele, Ibadan –

The current crisis in the National Assembly has been described as unfortunate and challenging to the Nation’s polity. Juju maestro, Evangelist Ebenezer Fabiyi Obey expressed the view while speaking with journalists during a personal visit to Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Thursday.

However, the notable musician expressed optimism that the current challenges at the National level was temporary and would soon be over, describing the crisis as a cloud which would soon become clear.

While asserting belief in the capability of the incumbent administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to deliver, he called for the support and prayers of all Nigerians for peace to reign.

Obey, while mentioning that the current crisis did not harbour the change expected by Nigerians, urged leaders at all levels of governments to shelve their private interest for public interest.

“It is unfortunate, that we have started like this but we will end well. Though we currently have a cloud, we only need to pray and there will be clarity.”

“I believe God brought this government to fulfil the yearnings of the people that believe we need a change. We need a change for the progress of Nigeria, we need a change for the common man. Not minding the trouble we are currently witnessing, it will soon be over.”

“This is because there is a lot of work, but I believe they will deliver. And, we shall be able to march ahead and our leaders will deliver because there is a lot of work to do.”

“I believe with the support of all of us and our prayers, this present administration will be able to sustain the change that the generality of Nigerians expect. It is not something we need to be annoyed about, but we need to pray, Nigerians have prayed so far, before we had this change,” the Juji icon stated.
