The Nigeria Football Federation has finally confirmed they have extended the contract of Gernot Rohr as the coach of Super Eagles, putting Harry Redknapp’s employment rumors to sleep.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick announced on Wednesday via Twitter that both parties have finalised contractual negotiations resulting in the German tactician remaining with the Super Eagles.

This comes days after the German tactician confirmed that he had been offered a new contract to remain the head coach of the Super Eagles for the next two years and a half.
Rohr’s contract was set to expire in June and there had been reports suggesting that England’s Harry Redknapp was lined up to replace him.
Sports Minister Sunday Akin Dare seemed to prefer that Redknapp take over as Eagles manager, but he denied he was rooting for the English man.
