A talented upcoming hip-hop artist, Nickey Brown has said that she would become the most celebrated artist in the country to be known as ‘Nicky Minaj’ as she is set to launch his maiden album titled: ‘Send D Money.’
During a chat with WESTERNPOST, Brown said her goals in the music industry was to bring the entire Itsekiri and Delta State to standard in the music industry and to make Nigeria proud.
Born 17 years ago, Brown who hails from Delta State and an SSS3 student of Vickin’s Comprehensive Academy in Delta State, noted that music makes her happy, saying she also loves making people around her happy through music.
“I don’t feel threatened by any rapper in the country,” she said.
Talking about her music, Brown, whose musical influences include Nicki Minaj and Cardi-B from America said: “My genre of music is quite elaborate in the sense that the kind of music I love putting out in particular is alternate music. I like communicating with my music. I’m pretty good with rapping too. I rap; I sing but it’s more of afro-pop and alternate music in general.
“Send D Money’ is a song meant for the street boys against the foreigners who have used our fore-fathers as slave traders for years.
On the future of music industry in Nigeria, she said: “I see music industry in Nigeria going far beyond the Europeans music patterns and I see Nigerians on top where music is concern in the world.”
