Despite the lingering security threat to lives and property in some parts of the country, President Goodluck Jonathan Wednesday reassured Nigerians that the country will surely overcome these challenges
The President, who added that insecurity in the some parts of Northern Nigeria is a threat to the Nigerian nationhood, vowed to continue to do everything possible to protect Nigerians wherever they reside.
Represented by the Senior special assistant to the President on Youth Matters, Comrade Jude Imagwe in Benin City at the Campaign awareness of Grassroots Youth Initiative (GYI), the President declared that Nigeria will rise again
Comrade Jude said the message from Mr President is that Nigerians must put aside ethnic, religious and cultural ties aside in the fight against terrorism
He said “One issue that worries Mr President is to see how Nigeria will rise again, taking its place in the comity of states.
“Nigeria must continue to move on the path of peace, unity and progress. Every Nigerian must set aside politics, religion and be united with the present government to fight those who do not wish our nation well, Nigeria will surely rise again.”
