NJC Appoints Retired Justice Ayo Salami to Head Committee on Corruption & Financial Crime Cases

Former president of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami, has bounced back as the National Judicial Council on Wednesday appointed him Chairman of its 15-man Corruption and Financial Crime Cases Trial Monitoring Committee.

Also appointed as a member of the committee is the present President of the Nigeria Bar Association, Mr. Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN)

Some former presidents of the association like Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Mr. Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), Mr Joseph Daudu (SAN) and Mr. Augustine Alegeh (SAN) among others.

Only recently, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnogen promised to appoint a separate panel to hear corruption cases.
