The Kwara State Govenor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has assured the residents that presently the state has no case of Coronavirus outbreak.
He said the states are working in collaboration with the federal government to establish screening centers at the zones to reduce pressure in Lagos state center.
AbdulRazq made the disclosure while speaking with journalists shortly after inspecting the isolation center built by the state government at Sobi Specialist hospital in Ilorin on Monday.
According to him, the isolation center built in the state can conveniently accommodate 15 patients, adding that it will be extended to about 100 patients capacity within a couple of weeks.
AbdulRazaq explained that the states and federal government are working round the clock to come up with better measures to contain the disease.
He noted that arrangements are on to establish screening centers at the zone to reduce pressure in Lagos atate center.
The governor also commended the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and CAN leadership for suspending congregational prayers and Church service in the state during this period.
He maintained that E-government facilities have been put in place to enable workers to perform their duties from home.
AbdulRazaq, however, urged workers as well as the residents of the state to use the period of the break to clean their environment and also take care of their kids at home.
