The Management of Okeogun Polytechnic, Saki in Oyo State has dismissed the rumour making round that crises erupted when the institution’s authority attempted to rig the Students Union Government (SUG) election in favour of a candidate which has led to chaos and anarchy between the students and management.
This was contained in a press statement signed by its Public Relation Officer,Mr. Olabode Tunde and made available to Western Post.
Debunking the information, he said, there was nothing of such happening in the institution, adding that the election was peaceful. He described those behind the rumour as enemies of progress.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that The Okeogun Polytechnic, Saki is peaceful, harmonious and tranquil.
However, the authority is using this medium to debunk the wrong notion and rumour being peddled by non-students of the institution that there is pandemonium on the campus, on the ground of the results of the last student union election which was officially declared “
The management, therefore, urged the students and the members of the institution to ignore the rumours and go about their activities without fear of molestations.
