NSCDC Officials Arrest 14 in Ondo for Vandalism, Kidnapping

Officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo State have arrested 14 suspects for alleged vandalism, kidnapping and fraud in the state.

Parading the suspects in Akure, the state capital on Tuesday, the state Commandant of NSCDC, Mr. Pedro Ideba, said two buses and a tanker filled with adulterated petroleum products were also recovered from some of the suspects.

Mr. Ideba explained that four of the suspects who had been terrorising Akure people were arrested along Akure-Ado-Ekiti road in an attempt to defraud unsuspecting people.

The NSCDC Commandant also explained that a teacher from Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure was arrested for his alleged involvement in illegal admission.

Mr Ideba added that the Corps had commenced investigation into their alleged crimes and the suspects would be charged to court accordingly.
