No fewer than 15 students of Osun State School of Nursing and Midwifery, Osogbo have tested positive for Covid-19.
It was learnt that a student in the school, last week tested positive for the Covid-19.
Following this development, the management of the school has mandated all the student to go for Covid-19 test.
It was gathered that, at the weekend, about five students were discharged from the Isolation centre while some of are still expecting their result.
It was further gathered that those who tested positive have been moved to the Isolation centre.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu who confirmed that some students tested positive to Covid-19 in the school, said few students contacted the virus but declined to give the figures.
Isamotu said, “Just like anybody else, a few students tested positive. So, few students tested positive, not many. I can assure you.”
It would be recalled that the State Government had called on residents of the state, especially those with traits of sickness, to go for Covid-19 test as the number of the cases in the state increases.
