The Institute of Corporate and Public Sector Profesionals (ICPSP), on Thursday awarded the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State Council, Mr Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly called MC Oluomo, a Honourary Fellow of the institute.
Mrs Omolara Adelakun, Registrar, ICPSP, said that the award, which is the highest membership grade of the institute is in recognition of Akinsanya’s excellence and commitment to public services.
“Our institute Honorary Fellow and Award committee is pleased to confer on Musiliu Akinsanya the highest membership grade award of our Institute.
According to the ICPSP Registrar, the institute is offering the union a platform to add value to its members due to the progress it has seen it made overtime.
In her remark, Chief Agnes Sessi, Chairperson, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Lagos branch, said that Akinsanya deserves the award, having paid his dues and redefined the operations of NURTW in Lagos State.
Sessi, who is also a Matron of ICPSP, said that she recommended the NURTW boss for the award when the opportunity arose because he is a reliable leader that should be encouraged to do more.
In his address, Akinsanya thanked ICPSP for finding him worthy of the award and promised not to disappoint the institute.
He noted that while the award came as a surprise, he holds it in high esteem and would not do anything that will bring the image of institute to disrepute.
