Ahead of May 29th and change of Barton, the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Najeemdeen Yasin meet Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Commissioner for Police, Bashir Makama and Director of State Security service (DSS) to avoid possible removal of Akeem Adeosun popularly known as Jango as the Chairman of NURTW.
The meeting that was held between Governor Amosun and National President of NURTW in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
The National President of the Union Najeemdeen Yasin explained that the state chapter of NURTW had enjoyed relatively peace in the state due to unnecessary hijacking of the union activities before the expiration of executives.
He said, its very wrong for someone to take over the union without the due process stipulated in the constitution will not be allowed.
The union later visited the Director of the Department of State Security at Oke Mosan and office of the Commissioner of Police Bashir Makama, Eleweran Abeokuta to officially made the union position known to them and for them not to digressed the union decision.
According Comrade Atanda Olayinka who was one of the founder of national union of road transport workers NURTW in Abeokuta and Ogun State explained that the national body decision was a good decision.
While asking if the present or out going state chairman of NURTW Alhaji Akeem Adeogun popularly called Jango was emerged through election.
He said since 1999 when democracy have come to stay in Nigeria national or road body of transportation have never conduct and election. While see the national moves as a means of extending the tenure of Comrade Akeem Adeosun after eight good years successful reign in Ogun State.
