Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) football team says the team is fully motivated by the Director-General of the scheme, Brig Gen. JB Olawumi to win the 2014 FCT Federation Cup, which it last won in 1995.
Management Committee Chairman of the club, Emmanuel Attah, said the DG enjoined the corps members to go all out and make the scheme proud and also use the opportunity to market their skills. Attah doubles as the Super Eagles Coordinator.
General Olawumi, who is an ex-footballer and a staunch supporter of Rangers International FC Enugu, further assured the players that their welfare will be adequately catered for.
The NYSC has been scheduled to play against Gwarinpa United in the first round of the Fed Cup, on Thursday 17th April, 2014 at the Old Parade Ground Stadium.
“Thousands of serving corps members and staff in the FCT have been mobilised to cheer the team to victory. The glorious days of NYSC football is back,” Attah said on Wednesday.
