The body of the late Akirun of Ikirun, in Ifelodun local government area of Osun State, Oba Abdulrauf Olawale, Adedeji II, was on Friday laid to rest amidst Covid-19 pandemic protocols.
Both Islamic and traditional rites were performed on the body of the deceased amidst coronavirus pandemic protocols before the final burial.
COVID-19 protocol officials performed the burial, as they burnt the casket in which the remains was carried to the grave after the interment.
There was a massive turnout of people at the palace to give last respect to Oba Olawale.
The monarch who died at the age of 78, was installed the Akirun of Ikirun in 1991.
