The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq says his administration will sustain consultation for people-driven development.
He made the commitment o Thursday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Townhall meeting held in Offa, Offa Local Government area of the state.
Governor AbdulRazaq, who was represented by his Deputy, Mr. Kayode Alabi, said development could only be meaningful if it is based on the needs of the people rather than top-down.
He said the essence of the town hall meeting was to feel the pulse of Offa people and dialogue on critical development initiatives.
Offa Transition Implementation Committee Chairman, Mr. Jare Olatundun commended the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq for making Kwara a peaceful and progressive state.
He assured the governor that Offa is wholly loyal to the administration.
Speaking on behalf of the community, representative of the Olofa of Offa, Asalofa of Offa, Alhaji Isiaka Shittu, recalled that the Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, had earlier thrown his weight behind Governor AbdulRazaq for a second term because he is a man who keeps to his words.
He explained that the staff quarters of the General Hospital, Offa, had been renovated. Road repairs have been embarked upon across the town, especially Tipper Garage to Igosun road, among others.
