Ogun Govt Installs First Ebute-Igbooro Monarch


…Promise Peaceful Reign

The Ogun State Government led by His excellency Senator Ibikunle Amosun has officially installed and present staff of office to His Royal Majesty, Oba Amusa Adetunji Dosunmu, as the first Elebute of Ebute-Igbooro Kingdom.

The official coronation and presentation of staff of office to the first Elebute of Ebute-Igbooro Kingdom, Oba Dosunmu by Ogun State government was held on monday 10th December, 2018 at Ebute-Igbooro town hall in Yewa North Local Government of the state.

The executive Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun assured the traditional rulers of his commitment to the promotion and support of the traditional institution in the state.

Governor Amosun who was represented by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Jide Ojuko congratulates the new monarch while wishing him good health, long life and many years of peaceful and prosperous reign on the throne of his forefathers.

According to him, ” I want to celebrate our new and first Elebute of Ebute – Igbooro. By this appointment you have become a member of Yewa Traditional council and a legal notice will be published in the Ogun State Government Gazette in due course.

“Again, I congratulate you and the people of Ebute-Igbooro and I wish our new Kabiyesi good health, long life and many years of peaceful and prosperous reign.”

In his address, the Chairman, Coronation Planning Committee, Chief Tunji Ijiola while thanking the state Governor for the good gesture and honour done to the town said, “it is worthy of note that since the inception of Governor Ibikunle Amosun in office about seven years ago, a lot of social and economic transformation has taken place in Ogun State.

“Our Governor has laid unforgettable record in the history of Ebute-Igbooro by upgrading our part II Baale to the status of part II Oba in Ogun State. For this we appreciate you”.

Also  Honourable Moses  Adegbite  who was the Chairman of Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) thanked the Governor for the timely consideration and approval of the upgrading of the Baale stool of Ebute-Igbooro to part II Oba status.

The LCDA Chairman who described people of the town as industrious and enterprising, pointed out that indigenes of Ebute – Igbooro have been in the fore front of most of development projects in the town and its environs.

While commending them for their past efforts which have made their town an envy for others, the Chairman informed them that the time has come for them to do more.

While advising  the traditional ruler, ” Oba Amusa Adetunji Dosunmu,  Elebute  of Ebute Igbooro land,  you have been giving a new  mandate by your people. The task ahead of you is enormous.

Your Royal Highness  is therefore  expected  to offer  honest and dedicated leadership to justify the high confidence reposted in you by your people.

To Ebute-Igbooro indigenes,  this is the time to support your Oba to move this community to a greater height. Kabiyesi, we pray most fervently that  your reign shall be peaceful, glorious  and of immense benefits to the Ebute-Igbooro town and Ketu Local Council Development Area as a whole.

While fielding questions from the journalist the Chief Executive Officer of the IBD Impex and Hotels, Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun has commended the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and his cabinet for his kind gesture and honour done to the people of Ebute Igbooro by promoting the first monarch of the town, Oba Amusa Adetunji Dosunmu (Isolo 1) from part II Baale to part II Oba.

Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun popularly called IBD congratulated the new Monarch, urged citizens of Ebute-Igbooro to work and cooperate with him for the continue growth and development of the town.
