The Honourable representing Ota state constituency 1 in Ogun State House of Assembly has commended the state government for the palliative work at the ongoing along Sango-Otta/Idiroko road.
Hon. Yusuf Abiodun who was the majority leader of Ogun State House of Assembly in a chat with Western Post in Abeokuta commended the government for putting a smile in the face of his people and promised to continue support and participate in any state legislative sessions.
According to him, the ongoing palliative works around Oju-Ore by Ogun State Government is pending the Federal Ministry of Works/FERMA’s commencement of reconstruction later in the year.
Hon. Abiodun appreciated the speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Olukunle Olu-Omo and his colleagues for showing support during the poor state of the road.
He said, “early this month the House of Assembly “decry the deplorable state of roads in their respective constituencies, which has been causing a lot of challenges to motorists and commuters, which lawmakers in the Ogun State House of Assembly called for swift intervention and synergy were necessary between the State and Federal governments on Lagos Abeokuta, Sango-Idiroko, Sango-Ijoko- Agbado-Akute, Lusada-Ado-Ikoga, Atan- Ado, Ode-Omi-Lagos and Sagamu-Ogijo, Owode- Ilaro roads amongst others.
“The lawmakers including the majority leader, Yusuf Sheriff, Musefiu Lamidi, Ganiyu Oyedeji, Tunde Oladunjoye, Musefiu Lamidi and the Deputy Speaker Akeem Balogun took turn under personal explanation to decry the deteriorating state of the roads during a plenary presided over by Speaker Olakunle Oluomo at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
“Honourable Abiodun explained that he felt bad when he saw what is people were going through on a daily basis. Saying that Ado Odo Otta Local Government was the council that generates internally generated revenue for Ogun State”.
“But it turned to testimony when he see the hand of State Government ably lead by a visionary governor Prince Dapo Abiodun on the road.
The majority leader said the palliative work done by State Government would go long way before the arrival of the Federal government through the federal ministry of work next year.
He now appeals to his continue paying their taxes and be a law-abiding citizen of Ogun State and Nigeria in particular.
