Ogun Speaker Promises APC Excos to Uphold Democratic Values

The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. (Prince) Olakunle Taiwo has assured that the Assembly would uphold democratic values in its dealings.

The Speaker gave the assurance on Saturday when he led members of the APC-caucus in the Assembly on a solidarity visit to the State All Progressives Congress (APC), Secretariat at Iyana-Mortuary, Abeokuta.

He emphasised that the interest of the APC which has the majority members in the House, shall always take prominence.

Prince Oluomo attributed the Success of the party in the last election to God and doggedness of the state Executives.

The Speaker who described the 3-man Caretaker Committee as ‘more powerful than a 26-man team, going by the results of the last election during the state and National elections.

Responding, the Caretaker Chairman of the Party in the state, Chief Yemi Sanusi appreciated the Assemblymen for the camaraderie, advising them to be responsive to their constituents.

He urged them to foster good relationship with the executive arm of government in a bid to have a prosperous state.

Also in attendance at the meeting was the State Secretary of the party, Hon. Ayo Olubori.
