The executive Governor of Ogun State has explained that the Ogun Tech Hub will serve as knowledge platform’s for the competent youths in the state to solve local challenges that will improve the quality of life of Nigerians.
Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun stated this on Thursday during the official launched of Ogun Tech Hub, organised by the Ogun state bureau of information technology held at Ogun tech hub, beside President Muhammadu Buhari Estate Along Kobape road, Abeokuta.
Governor Abiodun explained that Ogun Tech Bub is an open living lab and pre incubation space designed, multi purpose space where work to catalyzes creative social tech ventures take place.
“The hub is a place for technologist, social entrepreneurs, the government, tech companies, impact investors and hackers in and around Ogun State to co-create new solutions to the many social problems in Nigeria.
“Tech hub will support individual and cooperate organisations to smartly apply innovation and technology to solve commercial and social problems.
“The tech hub will facilitate creative thinking and collaborative problems solving using the smart application of technology.
“Our knowledge of delivering innovation through a human center design approach combined with our expertise in turning ideas into products, and then sustainable organizations, is the core of our engagements.
“The hub will also serve as knowledge platform and where citizens can connect, share, build new skills and competencies, to solve local challenges that improve the quality of life of Nigerians.”
While Miss Mercy Anih a none indigene from Otta, graduated from University of Nigeria Usuka, study English and Master from Eastern University USA, study Organizational leadership came first and receive cheque of 1million from Ogun state government.
She thanked the organizer of today’s programme and the state governor for the cheque and also commend other participant for acknowledged them with a tangible prices.
