The Ogun State Government has concluded arrangement to give the M. K. O Trade Fair Complex, a face lift to make it more conducive for investors and business men and women ahead of the forth coming 8 th Gateway Trade Fair scheduled for Wednesday 17 th – Friday 26 th May, 2017.
The State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, who disclosed this while inspecting the complex to ascertain the level of preparedness, said that the State Governor had directed all concerned government agencies to put the complex in good shape.
“I can assure you that the forth coming Gateway Trade Fair will be much better. Almost a hundred companies including banks have indicated interest. In fact, all hands are on deck to ensure its success,” He said.
Ashiru explained that the essence of trade fair all over the world was to showcase areas where companies have competitive and comparative advantage over others, adding that it was an opportunity for investors to network and market their products.
Also speaking, the President, Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA), Chief (Mrs) Adesola Adebutu, said the fair would give people the opportunity of purchasing products at cheaper prices, disclosing that the road-show put together by the Chamber and others stakeholders was to create awareness about the fair.
