Oloye ‘Lekan Alabi Now Ekefa-Olubadan of Ibadanland

Agbaakin Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oloye ‘Lekan Alabi, has been promoted to Ekefa-Olubadan by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1.

The promotion ceremony was held on Friday, at the palace of Olubadan in Popo Area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Oloye Alabi, who is the first Culture Ambassador of the National Museum and Monument, Ile-Ife, was installed the Mogaji Oyetunji Olundegun Family of Ile-Oye, SW2/486, Isale ‘Jebu, Ibadan, by the 38th Olubadan of Ibadanland, the late Oba Emmanuel Adeyemo, Operinde 1, on 31st November, 1994.

From there, he moved to become Jagun-Olubadan in the Olubadan Traditional Chieftaincy Line during the reign of the 39th Olubadan of Ibadanland, the late Oba Yunusa Bankole Oladoja Ogundipe, Arapasowu 1 on 12th December, 2002.

Oloye Alabi has also been Agbaakin-Olubadan from where he was promoted Ekefa-Olubadan of Ibadanland.
