Controversies Surrounding Olubadan Chieftaincy Title Resolved, Says Ladoja

The Osi Olubdan of Ibadan land, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja on Saturday disclosed that the controversies surrounding the chieftaincy and enthronement of the next Olubadan of Ibadan have been resolved.
The former Governor of Oyo State gave the assurance this while speaking with newsmen on the outcome of a closed-door meeting between the members of Olubadan-in-Council and Governor Seyi Makinde at the Agodi Government House, Ibadan.
High Chief Ladoja affirmed the candidature of Otun Olubadan of Ibadan land, High Chief Lekan Balogun as the next Olubadan.
All the members of Olubadan-in-Council attended the meeting except the Iyalode of Ibadan and High Chief John Bunmi Isioye.
Among the High Chiefs in attendance are Lekan Balogun, Owolabi Olakuleyin, Gbadamosi Adebimpe, and  Eddy Oyewole
It would be recalled that Governor Makinde had insisted that his administration would ensure the Ibadan traditional system revert to its original concept following controversies arising from ascension to the stool of Olubadan as a result of the demise of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji.
