The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso 1, and the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Adekunle Salau, on Tuesday visited the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11.
The Olubadan led some high ranking Ibadan chiefs to pay the historic visit to the Ooni.
The Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Akinloye Olakuleyin, Ekerin Olubadan, Chief Biodun Daisi, and Agbaakin of Ibadan, Chief Lekan Alabi, were part of the historic visit. The wives of the Olubadan, Kudirat and Rashidat, are also in the entourage.
The Ooni spoke about the need for Yoruba Obas to unite in order for unity to reign supreme in Yorubaland.
The Aseyin, in a brief interview with journalists before the arrival of the Ooni to the hall where the meeting would hold, said the visit was being paid to felicitate with the Ooni on the celebration of Olojo Festival and his birthday.
He said Ile-Ife is the source of the Yoruba race and urged all Yoruba monarchs to support the Ooni in his efforts to unite the Yoruba race.
