Omisore Commiserates with Victims, People of Offa over April 5 Bank Robbery

Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has commiserated with the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Oloyede Gbadamosi, the good people of Offa and government of Kwara State over the April 5 robbery in the town, which claimed 30 lives.
Omisore, in a statement he personally signed, prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims, just as he urged their families to keep faith with God “as only He can comfort them and ensure justice is served on the criminals.
“I wish to join many other good Nigerians to commiserate with Kabiyesi, the Olofa of Offa, families of the victims, the people of Offa and government of Kwara State on this dastardly incident. It is my prayer that God comfort the families of the victims and bring them solace.”
The former Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, who expressed happiness that the police had begun investigation into the crime with reported arrest of some suspects, urged the government to do more to secure life and property of the citizenry.
“It is when the lives and properties of good citizens are secure that we can talk of government or development. The people remain the core index of a society’s sustainable growth and development.
“We must do more to protect our human capital and enhance the quality of their lives,” Omisore said, adding that the government must ensure that the perpetrators of the deadly robbery are brought to book.
