    The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Councillorship aspirant in Ona Ara Local government area of Oyo State, Honourable Adekunle Maruff has urged the people of the council area to throw their weight behind the party and the leadership of Honourable Mohammed Fadeyi the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly in order to move the area forward and let dividends of democracy go round the people.

    Hon Maruff fondly addressed as ‘Fitted’ who is contesting the councillorship seat in ward 11 in the forthcoming local government election in the state said Ona Ara has witnessed tremendous development since  Hon. Mohammed assumed office to represent his people in the state Assembly.

    His words: Hon. Fadeyi has recoded unprecedented achievements since he assumed office as Deputy Speaker in the State House of Assembly.

    “He has empowered so many people and provided jobs for so many youths in the constituency. The people are really enjoying his quality leadership.

    “His open-door policy is second to none in the history of Ona Ara Local government and the  constituency, we have no regret  voting him to represent us  in the Assembly.”

    He urged people of the council area to continue to support Hon. Fadeyi to enable him to complement his developmental projects in the ongoing administration.

    Speaking on his ambition,  Hon. Maruff told Western Post that  his decision to contest for the office of councillor in Ona Ara is to  enable him to contribute positively to the wellbeing of the people of the council area with noticeable changes and development, adding that the decision and preparedness of governor Seyi Makinde to conduct local government election in the state is a welcome development.

    He said the step would pave way for great development at the grassroots.

    “My decision to contest in the election is to contribute my quota to the growth and development of my people with noticeable changes. There must be a positive turn around in the lives of the people of Ona Ara.

    On the state of the nation, Hon. Maruff charged the country’s leaders to churn our ways of revamping the nation’s economy and political stand in order to make life comfortable for people.
