History was made on Saturday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State as the party conducted its Congress in Akure.
The Chairman of the congress Electoral Committee, Mr. Komsol Longap, while speaking during his opening remarks appreciated the party members for the respect and orderliness before, during and after the congress.
On his part, the secretary of the committee, Hon Segun Olanibi, said that Ondo APC has been so coordinated and could be taken to be the best in the whole southwest.
The committee adopted consensus and called on a delegate, Chief Olusola Oke to move the motion for the consensus which was seconded by Hon Olountogbe, the ALGON chairman in the state which no one objected.
In the consensus arrangement, Ade Adetimehin returned unopposed as chairman, Alex Kalejaiye as publicity secretary, Ali Adeshina as secretary, Renike Wilderspoon as women leader and among others.
The house unanimously agreed and accepted all the candidates.
Adetimehin, who spoke on behalf of the new executives thanked all party members and well wishers for their supports and cooperation for the success of the congress.
The deputy governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, later appreciated all and sundry for their supports and promised that the party will not disappoint them
The elected chairman promised to be more dedicated and upright in discharging his duty in the new assignment.
