The Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Iroju Ogundeji on Wednesday suspended by the pro-Aketi members at the Assembly.

Ogundeji was suspended alongside another member of the House, Hon. Adewale Williams.

The two lawmakers were suspended by the leadership of the House at a plenary for what they term unruly behaviour.

The affected lawmakers were among the nine lawmakers who did not sign the impeachment notice against the embattled Deputy Governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi.

Recall that Ajayi had approached a Federal High Court in Abuja to halt his impeachment proceedings by members of the state House of Assembly.

The Deputy Governor in the suit filed by his lawyer, Mr I Olatoke sought the enforcement of his fundamental human rights and freedom of association.
