The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Ondo State chapter has donated food items worth thousands of Naira to Emmanuel World Children Foundation, Ilara-mokin.
The donation was made as parts of NMA’s humanitarian gesture and activities lined up for the 44th Annual General Meeting and Scientist Conference.
State NMA Chairman, Dr. Stella Adegbehingbe said the donation was part of the association’s corperate social responsibilities.
She said: “There is always joy in giving. A lot of people don’t know that givers never lack. I hope people will try to help the less privileged.
“There are many ways in which you can help people, there are many ways you can help with books, clothes, money or you call them and ask them what they need. I implore people that have and even those who do not have, if you give, I’m sure it will be replaced in hundredfold to you.”
Responding to the gesture, Proprietor, Emmanuel World Children Foundation, Mr. Emmanuel Adaramola stressed that the donation was timely.
The proprietor said, things have not been easy catering for the children at the orphanage.
“it has not been easy but God uses different people to help us. Emmanuel Foundation is not just an orphanage, we deal with different cases,” he said.
