The tribunal sitting in Akure, the Ondo State Capital was thrown into pandemonium as some members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) stormed the premises of the court venue and stabbed a man.

The stabbed man is said to be a driver to a popular Akure lawyer, who is also known to be loyalist to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The said driver according to report wanted to buy a recharge card outside the court premises when members of the NURTW  suddenly attacked him.

He said further that the union members, Chemical, Tade, and Olori Ebi, alleged that he belongs to the opposition party being a former member of the union.

Police and other security agencies were later called upon to arrest the situation while the legal battle between Akeredolu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the PDP counterpart Eyitayo Jegede was still on at the time of filing this report.
