The Gubernatorial Candidate of the party said, suddenly, he heard several gunshots at his car and at the other vehicles on his convoy, while still at the palace of Oloba, Oba Adegoroye. Over 17 vehicles were destroyed with gunshots and no fewer than six people were severely injured in the process. No life was lost.

Jegede revealed that he is not desperate to be governor of the State. Thus, concluding that the time has now come for him and his teaming supporters to defend themselves against such occurrences. He concluded by calling on the Police and other security agencies to do the needful to contain the situation.
