Ondo Govt. Affirms Aladetoyinbo as New Deji of Akure

The Ondo State Government on Monday approved the appointment of Prince Kole Aladetoyinbo by the Kingmakers of Akure as the new Deji of Akure kingdom

This was contained in a statement issued by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Hon Kayode Akinmade, after the State Executive Council meeting.

Akinmade who explained that the approval of the new Deji of Akure followed the unanimous decision of the Kingmakers to elect Aladetoyinbo among other contestants to the vacant stool at their meeting of June 7th 2015.

He said the Deji-elect would be presented with the staff of office in a date yet to be announced.

The Deji of Akure ‘s  stool became vacant following the demise of  Oba Adebiyi Adegboye Adesida Afunbiowo 11.

Deji of Akure and Chairman of Ondo State Council of Obas,  Oba Adebiyi Adesida, had  died at the age of 63.

He reigned for only three years, three months and three days having ascended the throne in  2011.
