The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Princess Jumoke Akindele, has described a newspaper report that she and the Clerk of the House, Mr. Bode Akinyelu, have been arrested as unfair and a figment of the imagination of those who did the story.
A media organization, not WESTERN POST, had reported on Wednesday that the two officers had been arrested by the police.

Hon Akindele, however, admitted that though there is a matter already before the election tribunal concerning the House of Assembly election conducted in April 2015 in the state with respect to the alleged forgery of certificate of returns issued in favour of Malachi and Abayomi Akinrutan as elected House members for Ilaje Constituencies 1and 2.
