Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Engr Ade Adetimehin has again reassured free, fair and credible during the 18 local government areas election.
Adétimehin who was addressing journalists on Thursday at the party Secretariat in Akure, the Ondo State Capital, said the party will give all aspirants the equal opportunity to vying for the positions of Chairmanship and Councillorship in accordance with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“We want to assure all the aspirants that the party would ensure a very transparent and credible process, that would lead to the emergence of candidates for the elections,” he said.
The party chairman, however, said that the 3-day grace of obtaining forms has lapse today (Thursday), stating that all aspiring candidates are expected to appear before the panel that has since been set up by the party to ascertain the qualifications of the aspirants in line with the dictates of the party.
Adétimehin, therefore, said that the party is optimistic about the victory at the polls that would be conducted for the local governments and that of the gubernatorial base on the laudable achievements of the governor in all sphere of human endeavor.
