Ondo Missing Child: Alfa Babatunde Appeals Conviction Judgement

    The founder of Sotitobire Prayer Chapel, Prophet Alfa Babatunde in Akure, the Ondo State Capital, has appealed the judgement of the state High Court over a missing of 10-year-old-boy, on November 10, 2019 during his church service.

    Alpha Babatunde was convicted of conspiracy to aiding & abetting and kidnapping contrary to section 516 of the criminal code cap 37, vol 1 laws of Ondo state 2006 by Justice Odutola of the state High Court

    The appellant, said errors were in the judgment meted on him by the lower court in convicting him to life imprisonment.

    He, therefore,  employed the services of two Senior Advocates Of Nigeria (SANs)  to rubbish the 17 grounds counts against him and should be discharge and acquainted.

    The judge, Rita Nosakhare therefore said the the prayers of the appelent be studied and adjourned till the next 14 days.

    It would be recalled that the prophet was sentenced to life Imprisonment by Justice Odutola at the state High Court 3 about three months ago over the missing child, Ileolagold.
