The Ondo State Council of Obas supported the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu over the eviction of the herdsmen from the government reserves across the state.
The Olukare of Ikare, HRH Ọba Akadiri Momoh, who read the communique to journalists in Akure, the Ondo State Capital on Thursday said monarchs support is borne out the incessant kidnapping and killings of innocent people of the state by the herdsmen.
They, however, called on Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari to see himself as the father of the nation in respective of ethnic affiliation.
They also condemned in totality the deliberate attempt by some of some persons to twist the Governor’s clear directive in respect of government forest reserves that Fulanis’ have been asked to leave the state.
They advised the aides to always exercise restraints on issues that border on the current insecurity in the country rather than building on ethnic affiliations.
